About

I’m mom to a son with high functioning autism and his younger sister.  There is so much sensational, emotion-laden and fearful information about autism and raising an autistic child these days I wanted to be a voice for the new normal.  We’re a happy family dealing with our set of “stuff”; some of which has to do with my son’s autism, some of which has to do with my daughter’s bossy princessism, but all of which has to do with life.  I figure you need a healthy dose of snark and compassion, and the occasional really good scotch, to get to the end of the line laughing, with your hands in the air and wanting another ride.
